“Rebecca and Josh have both lived in Arkansas their entire lives, they attended the University of Arkansas have been living in Fayetteville for some time but their paths didn’t cross until they were introduced through mutual friends in the fall of 2006. Becca’s best friend happened to be the sister of one of Josh’s friends and first college roommate and through this connection, a relationship sparked. Rebecca and Josh have grown to be great compliments to each other’s personalities and consider themselves each other’s best friend. They are an adventurous pair and love the outdoors whether canoeing, camping, hiking or playing with their golden retriever Gracie. They also share an interest in taking photos and enjoying a good concert as well as spending time with their friends and family. On April 28th, 2012 they made things official when they got married in Fayetteville, Arkansas and celebrated the moment with some live music and dancing! They are excited about taking this next step in their lives and look forward to making a ton of memories on the journey..
This shot was taken on the front steps of the church while the bridal party was having their fun pictures taken by our lead photographer. Shot using a Nikkor 105 Macro 2.8 lens in natural overcast light, the concept behind the shot is simplicity. The rings and Becca’s shoes are so true to her personality and so full of character that we felt the only details that mattered in this shot were the ones personally picked by her. Edited with a soft warm tone to match the vintage feel of the wedding decor and left simple and pretty. The image was taken using a Nikon D3s camera shot at ISO 200 for clarity…
The fun behind this shot really was in the timing. I (Miles) was working with the bridal party running all over the block of the church when we ran into Melissa shooting some of the details in front of the church. It was such a brief moment that I looked up and whistled but the overwhelming – “awwwww” that we got somewhat sarcastically from the bridal party stuck in everybody’s mind. Such a fun day with this incredible couple and we were so excited that this little memory moment resulted in such a beautiful shot.”
